Rescues Updated 4/14/2010 Check Out Next Month After More of The Flock Is Adoptable “Fergie” Eclectus (Male, 6 years old)
“Fergie” is in my opinion is a great bird with limited issue other than plucking. He loves to explore and doesn’t get scared easily. He needs a home with no or older children as he will chase young kids. He hasn’t tried to bite anyone here ever, but has aggressively chased younger children. He talks very well when he wants to. He needs a special diet like all Eclectus parrots and needs weekly bathing to help with dry skin and avoid re-plucking his feathers. When we got “Fergie” he had few down feathers, no wing feathers, no tail feathers. He is now growing them all back. Other than his occasional out burst, he is very quiet and loves people. He has never at bitten anyone. Great bird if feathers aren’t an issue. |
