Until the mid-1980’s the Spix’s Macaw was doomed to extinction with fewer than 80 individuals left in the world! Now The Loro Parque Fundacion is working on recovery efforts to bring this once great species back to the wild where it belongs.  Check out their web site and donate if you can.
